Sangiovese Rosé

Sangiovese Rosé

Tasting Notes

Ruby red in hue, this ros offers strawberry and mixed melon aromas and flavors with a flinty, mineral-driven finish. Juicy and mouthwatering, the wine finishes clean with refreshing acidity. Serve chilled. The Sangiovese fruit, with its inherently spicy kick, makes it a great suitor for almost any meal, but this is an easy wine to enjoy on its own.

This gentle rose is shocking pink in color but subdued in its strawberry and rhubarb flavors. Flavors pick up intensity on the dry finish. Drink now. -Harvey Steiman, October 15, 2011

"Washington's Columbia Valley isn't known for the Sangiovese grape variety, nor for rosés. As a result, Waterbrook's lightly floral bottling is a nice surprise." - Ray Isle, Food & Wine, August 2011
